Song: Stick Season
Artist: Noah Kahan
The song moves me in physical space...like being on a conveyor belt or an escalator.
I'm so grateful I was raised further south in latitude than this most northern part of the US that he refers to in Vermont. I relish long days -- throughout the year, not just concentrated in the summer.
I live to see the sunrise and to end my day with the sunset. Two incredibly power-filled moments in the day. Imagine if we all could be aware to take in that beauty and awe. And yet, powerful and creative to be in the dark.

He's talking about heart break and disappointment. Trying to find himself in spite of a lack of Light. The music carries us out of a victim place and opens the heart to what might come with the Light returning.
Reflections
- Where are you going?
- Are you breathing? Where is your breath in your body in this moment?
- When did you get too close?
- What promises made to you have been broken? Is there more to heal?
- How much Light were your raised on? (actually or figuratively)
- How did this effect your happiness then and now?
